Geleneksel LATAA Ogrenci Kariyer Gunu
14 Ekim 2012 tarihinde University of Southern California’da düzenlenen Los Angeles Türk Amerikan Dernegi (LATAA)’nin geleneksel olarak gerçeklestirdigi Ögrenci Kariyer Günü nedeniyle, Theabridge Group Genel Müdür ve LATAA Baskan Yardimcisi olan Yasemin Elmas, ABD’deki kalici (immigrant), gecici (non-immigrant) vize kategorileri ve sirket kurulumu, konusmasi ile katilimcilarin cogunlugunu olusturan Türk ve Türk kökenli ögrencilere yönelik bilgiler vermistir. Sunumu buyuk ilgiyle karsilanan Yasemin Elmas sozkonusu yillik toplantiya konusmaci olarak her yil katilmaktadir.
LATAA Annual Student Outreach Event
Theabridge Group’s General Manager and LATAA Vice President Yasemin Elmas was one of the guest speakers at the annual Student Outreach Event of the Los Angeles Turkish American Association (“LATAA”) This year’s event was held on October 14, 2012 at University of Southern California. Yasemin talked about and gave information to students on different immigrant and non-immigrant visa types and how to start a company in the US. Her presentation was found very helpful and she was surrounded by students with questions after her presentation.

“Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals” Info Session / Theabridge Bilgi Toplantisi
Yasemin Elmas will be giving a free information session on “Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals” on Wednesday September 5, 2012.
USCIS started accepting deferred action request on August 15, 2012, which offers a two-year, renewable reprieve from deportation to unauthorized immigrants who are under the age of 31.

We had our first new year’s celebration today. It was a lot of fun. There was some delicious Turkish food supplied by our event contributors:
* Mama’s Secret Bakery and Café
* New Anatolia Mediterranean Café, and
* Sultan Kabab Express
Studio Long Beach was another contributor of our event. They donated beautiful photographic art originally signed by Mert Turkoglu, professional photographer, designer, and journalist. We collected some donations for a Girl Education Fund in Turkey and had a drawing among our guests. One of our lucky guests was the winner of one of the photographs provided by Studio Long Beach. He said it was the first time he won something. We hope it is the beginning of a great year and many more wins for him! 🙂
We also got to sing some Turkish folk songs together thanks to another dear friend, Emin Bozkurt.
A big THANK YOU to all of our guests and contributors. We look forward to seeing you all soon at another event.

It was great to see all who joined us at the opening reception of Theabridge Group last night in our new office at Westwood Gateway, in Los Angeles.
Consul General of Turkey in Los Angeles, Honorable Aydin Topcu, Mr. Arif Celik, Vice Consul of Turkish Republic in Los Angeles and another about 60 highly appreciated guests were with us and doubled, tripled, quadrupled… our joy.
